this face

for those of you who haven't been introduced, this is Mose. he is about five months. i adopted him on november tenth from the Bonnie L. Hayes Animal Shelter. to say the least, he is quite the hooligan. recently, he has discovered the toilet, but if we keep it shut he uses it to jump onto the counter, he gets up onto the kitchen table, even if the chairs are all pushed in, and yesterday morning, he discovered the fish.

i woke up to my mother bursting into my room at 4:15 am screaming, "help me find the fish! help me find the fish!" as i waddled out in my underwear, blue marbles were scattered on the floor and water was soaking into the carpet. i was still in sleep mode but crouched over to be of some sort of assistance anyway. ma, however, was all riled up and joined me on her hands and knees to find Jose cuervo. all of a sudden, she yelped and made random LOUD startled noises and threw the fish into his bowl. now that i think about it, it's hilarious. at the time, i was annoyed. i had to be up in an hour to be to work by 7. why couldn't she find the damn thing on her own - because obviously, i did nothing. i think i scooped up one marble. AND what the hell, Mose?? why did you pick four in the dang morning to be a rapscallion?

in any case, Jose Cuervo is fine. we moved him to higher ground with Monopolowa. they flip each other off with their fins, but i think that is way better than being thrown three feet to their demise.
