after catching up on some of my favorite blogs, i decided to follow the masses and do a post looking back on the year i had. i do have to say, that last school year was by far the best.. here's a look back at my 2010.
in january, i celebrated my 23rd birthday, with white hair, i might add. i actually kind of miss it!
here is the cake that papa bear spent all day decorating. my mom said he even wrote it out before hand on paper to make it look right.
february brought the roomies back together after a winter break apart. we made an apple pie (two, in fact!) and made lots of bubble tea runs!
so asianly excited for bubble tea
babe looks so cute here!
in march, a friend of babes traveled from japan to stay with us. we had a BLAST! we built gingerbread houses, had picnics, went to parties, colored, blew bubbles, explored dilapidated houses, shopped, went for tea.. you name it, we did it.
this is my fav photo. jube, babe, nao, and stacie. soooo epic.
babe with the lightsaber
babe and i waiting for MAX for our trip to portland
chillin on the porch before 'alice in wonderland'
the morning we took nao to the airport to leave. so sad. babe, me and nao, one of the coolest ladies ever.

i also went to the woodburn tulip festival with my folks. it was gorgeous and i got to reunite with my old pony friend!
in april, my family and babe and i celebrated papa's 63rd birthday.
here is me, my mom, papa, willow and dan.
babe and jube also gave their senior thesis presentations that month. that was a great day! here are all four roomies! after jubes presentation.
here is a roomie shot of us at the senior art show, where babe's photography was showing.
in may, babe and jube graduated ( i just faked it) and it was time for us all to go our separate ways.
this is how babe and i spent our last day together - lying in the sun and setting off smoke bombs.
(isn't she lovely?)
in june, my whole family participated in the relay for life. lucky us, it was the HOTTEST day of the year. on the plus side, we raised tons of money to help beat cancer!
my adorable folks.

my sister and her hubs, dan
me and my handmade fairy wings, specially made for the occasion!

it was also mama's birthday and her and papa's wedding anniversary!
i also helped celebrate my friend pam's birthday! it was so much fun to get the girls together again!! (sidenote: i also found out later in the year that she is expecting! the little boy is due in april of this year!!)

hotties! ow ow!

champagne for all! and hand signs, apparently! crystal, me and manda, lookin' fly.
in july, i celebrated two lovely little girls turning one year old! my little niece callie and my friends' babe, blaise, were both born on the same day! they both turned one and spent the day as princesses!
here is pretty little miss blaise!
and here is my cousin, emily, and niecey-poo calliebear!! what a darling little princess!
my family also went camping at cape lookout, one of my favorite spots ever. it was a bit chilly, but great nonetheless.
papa is also sooo charming in his photos. i am so used to it, as you can tell..
one of my favorite trees!

mama and willow
august brought willows 26th birthday and her and dan's first wedding anniversary
here are some photos from the wedding. i can't remember a time seeing willow look so happy.

the whole family. me, papa, mama, willow, and my new bro, dan.
september brought nothing but school starting again and the idea of going back when i knew all but a few people horrified me. the month is a blur for me, so we're going to pretend that it didn't happen..october welcomed more school, willow and dan finally bought their first house, and halloween came about, which i spent with my sister and her friends. we went to see my brother in laws' band play in portland. i went as sally bowles from cabaret.
once again, i only dance when i look like a fool..
willow was the preachers wife, dias de los muertos style
some of the gang
in november, i adopted my dearest little gentleman kitty, mose. i can't believe i have only had him a little less than two months. i am so thankful that i got the urge to go to the shelter on that day. if not, i fear i would have never met my little butterball.
sometimes, he even snuggles.

this is his angry face. aka when i take stuff away from him face..
such as my headphones. which i found today in the middle of the floor chewed through.. gee, i wonder who did that.. (see below previous incriminating photo)

such a tiny thing

mose has definitely brightened my spirits and my life lately. i love the little guy, and luckily, my folks do, too. i even think he and thatcher will be great buds some day.. i'd wanna be friends with something this cute.. fyi, he weighs about 9 pounds. from a whopping 4.8lbs when i adopted him..

lastly, in december, and most importantly, i decided to take time away from school. i knew for a while that i was having a difficult time, but it never occurred to me to take a break. i had always thought, "school comes first," before work and even before my own well being. this year, i will come first. and after looking at all of those great photos of some wonderful times, i am going to put myself first and truly, whole-heartedly enjoy this year.
