little lovelies

first off, i realized that i use the word "lovely" quite a bit. at any rate, i use it because it is the truth. case in point, check out these lovely glasses that i found at the goodwill. there were six tall ones, seven medium sized ones, and three little ones. i adore them, especially the wee ones (pictured below)!
here are some other recent vintage and goodwill finds. just today, at the bins, i found these lovely covered reader's digest books for $2 each. i bought the star garland (and the larger star below) at craft warehouse.
the doily was a gift to my grandmother from her sister. isn't it sweet?
i love the pattern on these two. the colors and delicacy. so devine.
i also found these other two books; ulysses in the town of coloured glass - poems by barry cole, and the terrarium book, for mere change. i can't wait to make my own live terrarium!
the illustrations are adorable.
the other day i found out one of my favorite antique stores was having a moving sale. my pop and i went to take a look and i gladly snagged up this little deer that i've been looking at for a while now. the embroidery hoops were found at goodwill and another antique store for cheap and i found the (unfortunately paper) tablecloths. i just couldn't resist the pattern. i know it'll go to good use :)
p.s. here are the few photos from my modest birthday, which i shared with my folks. my dad put a canoe on my cake, which i ended up making for myself the same day.
here's what i wore
lilac knitted dress: forever 21 via goodwill
beaded shirt: forever 21
belt: goodwill
hair comb: by me
