boy, work was slow today. we were waiting on frames to come in for the customs and there was hardly anyone needing things framed today - until 8:15. folks always wait until we're almost closed to come in and get stuff custom framed, which means i have to run around putting stuff away, writing orders in the book, and cleaning up as best i can for the openers. don't get me wrong, i LOVE my job and am devastated that Craft Warehouse is closing. it's just that some days are more rough than others..
anyway, while i was on break i found this picture in one of our knitting magazines that someone puts in the break room once they expire. so since it was slow, i decided to frame it. here's how it turned out. i actually quite like it.
for work, i initially wore tights and a thrifted pair of oxfords, but when i got home i couldn't help but putting on my brand new shoes. you see, i stopped at target about twenty minutes before i had to be to work to see if i could grab an inexpensive dock for my iPod. since they were all over $70, i had to pass. BUT as i was running out the door, these super rad shoes spied me down.

i think they're in the fashion of hasbeens, only a tenth of the price. so i tried them on, first in my regular size - 6.5 - but it wasn't until i got down to the 5.5 that they really fit right. so off i ran to the register with my box of sweet shoes, paid, and hurried off to work, just barely on time. well, maybe just a few minutes late... so here's what i wore today (sorry for the grainy yellow photos, not that they're ever good..):
top: banana republic, via goodwill
skirt: goodwill from forever ago
belt: my mothers
shoes: target
as always, i tried to take a picture with my little butterball. here's how that went..
