my beloved old roomie presented her senior art thesis today and of course, i was there for support. she is such an amazing artist, i was so proud of her work and how far she has come. she has put so much of herself in her work and it shows. here's to you, stacie! i took a few photos of her pieces in the gallery, but they don't do her drawings justice.
her thesis is titled, "a human experience." it shows the four elements, each displaying how beautiful life and death can be and how it is all connected.
when i was in the gallery, i also saw these incredible paintings by mayuki takehara, a japanese exchange student that was in babe and my painting class last year. she has the amazing talent of creating such lovely portraits in acrylic. here are her pieces, as well. her thesis is titled, "who are you? where are you from? what kind of person are you?"
